Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information ContextHint (“we”, “us”) collects when you use contexthint.si, how we use it, which companies process it for us, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email elada.ai.com@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. When you sign in with an email code we receive your email address. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the order and payment reference, the plan, the amount and currency, and the email you enter. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV or bank credentials.
- Information you give us. Details you enter in the product or in our free tools, such as company and product descriptions, website addresses, competitors, audiences, the brief of a Fresh Ads request and messages you send us. When you give us a website address, our server fetches that page and reads its text.
- Usage information. We count visits with PostHog. Before you make a choice in the cookie banner, and if you reject analytics cookies, this happens without cookies or browser storage: PostHog receives the page viewed, the referring site, device and browser type and approximate location from your IP address, and tells visits apart with a hash it computes on its servers. If you accept analytics cookies, PostHog also uses cookies to recognise your browser, records clicks and scrolling, and records your session on the site (session replay) with what you type into form fields masked. When you are signed in and have accepted, this is linked to your account and email address.
- Where you came from. When a page loads, we keep where you arrived from (campaign tags in the address, the referring site and the landing page) for up to 2 days, under a key made from your IP address and browser with a random value that changes every day. If you create an account in that time, this first visit is saved with your account so we know which channel brought you.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To provide the product, including your workspace and any reports you request. Some features use an AI model to read web pages and to write context hints and market analyses from the details you give us.
- To process payments, send receipts and handle refunds.
- To answer support requests and send service emails (for example, sign-in codes and a message when the ads you requested are ready).
- To understand usage and improve the product: page and feature usage as described above, and a short record of account milestones (account created, trial started, plan started, changed or cancelled, credits bought) linked to your account and email address, which we keep in our analytics tool, PostHog.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes your data
We share information only with the service providers below, which help us run the product, and only what each one needs. Each works under its own privacy and security terms:
| Provider | What for, and what data | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting of the website, our API and our database. Holds all of the information described above, and server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested). | United States (North Virginia) |
| Supabase | Sign-in and sign-in sessions: your email address, the name and profile picture Google shares, and the IP address and browser you sign in from. | United States (North Virginia) |
| “Continue with Google” sign-in. Our support address is a Gmail inbox, so emails you send us are kept by Google, and support messages from the dashboard are forwarded there. | United States and other countries where Google has servers | |
| Resend | Sending our emails (sign-in codes, support messages to our inbox, emails about your requests): your email address and the content of the email. | United States |
| Razorpay | Payment processing: the payment details you enter in Razorpay’s checkout window, your email, the amount, currency and plan. | India |
| PostHog | Product analytics, as described under Usage information: page views, device and browser, approximate location; with your consent cookies, clicks and session replay; account milestones with your email address. | United States |
| Cal.com | Booking a call with us: the name, email address and answers you enter on the booking page, and the booking itself. | United States |
| OpenAI | Fresh Ads requests: to find ads, we ask ChatGPT (OpenAI) questions built from your request brief, such as your company, competitors, topic or audience. Only the questions are sent, never your name, email address or account. | United States |
Some pages also make your browser load files from other companies, which then see your IP address and browser type, as with any website: fonts on this page from Google Fonts, the tutorial video from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com), website icons in the context hint generator from Google, the sign-in library of the dashboard from jsDelivr, and ad pictures in the ad library from the servers where those ads’ images are stored (mostly OpenAI’s). Razorpay’s checkout window and Cal.com’s booking page are run by those companies under their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of ContextHint.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar browser storage that are needed to keep you signed in and to complete payments. Analytics cookies are used only after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. Without them, visits are counted without cookies or storage, as described above.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Analytics data is kept for up to 12 months. Where you came from is kept for up to 2 days unless you create an account. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal information, except records we must keep by law.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to stop using it for analytics, by emailing elada.ai.com@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Where your data is processed
Our servers and database are in the United States (Amazon Web Services, North Virginia). Our providers process data in the United States and India (Razorpay), and Google and Cal.com may also use servers in other countries. By using contexthint.si you understand that your information may be processed outside your country, including in countries whose data protection laws differ from yours.
Children
ContextHint is a business product and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell signed-in users about any significant change.
